The Valparaiso Diversity Network Association held its Unity Day Celebration. It was a celebration of the diverse mix of races, cultures and backgrounds in Valparaiso. It was held from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, at the Porter County Courthouse Square. This is a recording the of the entire event (no edits), which included keynote speakers and live music. NOTE: due to recording anomolies and some attendant period of distortion, some the recording is far from pristine.

In March 2009 the Chicago Street Theater Young Readers class performed two short plays for their parents and friends. WVLP is happy and proud to have been able to broadcast those performances “live” and on-the-air, and to be able to podcast these performances.
WVLP was lucky to be present for a live performance by the Morgan High School Choir on March 18, 2009, at the meeting of the Valparaiso Noon Kiwanis. WVLP broadcast that performance the following and we are happy to have it here in our archives. We hope you enjoy it.
