Valparaiso’s Community Radio Station, WVLP 98.3 FM, will hold its First Annual Membership meeting at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, at the Reiner Community Center (510 Union Street in Valparaiso). All volunteers, donors, members, and underwriters are invited to attend. Participants will be asked to select Steering Committee Members and vote on the adoption of proposed bylaws. Course: mostly flat, fast course with a few slight inclines, through Valparaiso University and back

Would you like to perform at WVLP’s Rock for Radio competition? It’s Saturday, Sept. 20, 6:00-9:00 pm, at the Franklin House. Up to 15 groups will perform, with supporters voting for their favorites (6 votes for $5). There’s no charge to attend or to perform. Each performer will have 10 minutes on stage and can have their songs included on the Rock for Radio compilation CD that will be produced after the competition.
